Other Peer Recognitions Include SuperLawyer; National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers, and The Best Lawyers in America

WESTFIELD, NJ — New Jersey / New York criminal defense and appellate attorney Robert G. Stahl has won peer recognition from several well-known national legal rating entities during his 25-plus years’ expertise as a White-Collar Criminal Defense and Appellate practice litigator.

As a former award-winning Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of New Jersey he prosecuted high-visibility criminal cases, including one involving international defendants that was the largest fuel excise tax case of its day. Today in the private practice he launched in 1997, Stahl defends clients in some of the biggest cases in the region and the country.

Orthodox Jewish Rabbi Mendel Epstein, recently acquitted in two or three counts, is a Stahl client. Epstein was charged in a scheme to force Orthodox Jewish husbands whose marriages were dissolved in civil court to give their wives religious divorces, which are necessary to be able to remarry in an Orthodox Jewish religious ceremony.

The Kadyrbayev case was tried in U.S. District Court in Boston. Rabbi Epstein’s trial was in U.S. District Court in Trenton, New Jersey. Stahl also represents individual and corporate defendants in federal courts throughout the United States.

Stahl’s AV Preeminent designation represents, “The pinnacle of professional excellence earned through a strenuous Peer Review Rating process that is managed and monitored by the world’s most trusted legal resource,” according to the recognition notice Stahl received from Martindale-Hubbell.

For the past nine consecutive years another well-known peer reviewed attorney rating has designated defense attorney Stahl as a “SuperLawyer” in White Collar, Criminal Defense. The rating service recognizes and lists,” … outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations,” according to the SuperLawyers website.2

The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers

For the past three consecutive years criminal defense attorney Robert G. Stahl has been named to The National Trial Lawyers, Top 100 Trial Lawyers.
